Jambo! (Swahili for Hello!)

It's been a minute! I hope this message finds you all well❤️ When I made my last post in January of 2022 I had no idea what the future held. We had been through it, again and again. We decided to quietly take a moment to rest and reflect on what our souls needed. One of the things that followed was the quiet closing of my space at The Perfect Pair.

Many things went into that decision, and while it was the best decision for our family it wasn't an easy one. The last few years have been wrought with so many unexpected losses. One of which was of my dear friend who had served nearly 20 years as a missionary in Kenya and it weighed heavily on my heart. This page was birthed out of my prayer to return and serve Kenya as well. Particularly the Maasai. After my friend's passing there were many moments of unknown regarding my future ministry in Kenya.

I traveled back to Kenya with dear friends in June and wondered what God had in store for my heart. There were so many difficult parts of that journey, but also many sacred moments that I will forever treasure. During my time there I encountered a renewing of my spirit and an echoing in my heart to honor the legacy of my dear friends who had selflessly served for so many years. I left with a knowing in my soul that I needed to return to Kenya to love and serve alongside my dear Kenyan brothers and sisters. God has big plans.

So, while creating wood signs will forever be a sweet part of my story, I plan to turn my creative spirit into something a bit different to support this year's mission to Kenya. Stay tuned for an announcement soon❤️

Hello friends! It's been a minute.

We took some time away this holiday season to love our people well, grieve the losses of some very dear ones, and find our balance after what has been a very long season of challenges and uncertainty. I hope each and every one of you know that you are loved and I pray that you are well.

My dear friends over at The Perfect Pair have been busy. Lots of new happenings! New decor, new clothing, and did you know the newly revamped website has a BLOG too??!!
