Currachs on the Lee

I think this might just be out for their weekly row given it was taken Saturday morning. It must be sort of magical to see the city from that perspective. They gave great cheers as they went under Christy Ring Bridge!

First time shooting which did a grand job delivering nice contrast with deep blacks.

Shot on a new camera with a borrowed lens, film dev'd by and scanned at home.

This was the test roll of the new Exa camera made in 1951-2 which turned out great! Not bad at all for a simple little camera :)

In motion

I find it difficult to photograph people in public. I would love to capture more of the candid moments but I find with the camera to my face I feel like I paint a target on myself that says 'i'm up to no good' when all i'm after is genuine moments. I hope that with practise I'll be able to overcome this and find more of those candid moments.

Back with the Nikon F100 here with some fine grain Ilford FP4.
