Dia de los Muertos /Marion, N.C.

Dia de los Muertos /Marion, N.C. November 9th, last day to see the Ofrendas in Downtown. Come to MACA Saturday, November 6 , from 12: Dia de Muertos is a living tradition.

Día de muertos is translated literally as “day of the dead”, but it is really a time to celebrate life by remembering and honoring those we have lost. In western North Carolina a similar cultural tradition exists in ‘Decoration Day’. Día de Muertos 2020 in Marion will be a unique public cultural festival in the region, and an opportunity to celebrate the lives of those we love and miss while sharing in the traditions of our diverse community.
