Assigned color pooling is a fun technique to give new life to variegated yarns. Here, I used Double Crochet clusters when the yarn was white, and Single Crochet stitches when it was red. Loving this groovy toadstool effect.

Hooded cowl created that was modified from the base pattern "easiest crochet hooded balaclava cowl pattern: the coodie" written by Lisa Auch.

I then attached it to a sweater base cowl, pattern of my own.

It comes from necessity, so that later in the year when the Christmas parades roll around I will not be as cold/freezing. Will be making one for the daughter too soon. This one is modeled by the husband.

I made my colorful sweater tank top project into a purse, on a whim! I figured I will get to show off the beautiful yarn better this way, and honestly who doesn't want a new purse?? Now I just have to line it with some fantastic fabric, and it will be ready for use. I'm really happy I made this choice.

Look who finally has a studio craft day.

Process: how I patched this type of blanket for a friend. Luckily they had the extra yarn leftover. Sometimes you replicate the stitch, sometimes you darn, sometimes you sew..but this yarn is very forgiving. The purpose is to capture the unraveling. It will never be perfect, but it's my best. It's the small things we do for one another.

I haven't posted since June...yikes.

In August, I began finishing up this corner to corner Afghan blanket. A family member had lost a loved one who had started this blanket, but was unable to finish it before passing.

A project started by a friend's loved one, that they weren't able to complete. This will hopefully bring them comfort and warmth soon.

My last post was nearly two months ago. Still here, doing well, deep in the grooves of life lately. Working, wifing, mothering, and loving--and sometimes crafting and crocheting! Lately it's been happy projects for church group. I have plans for making flowers for a friend's wedding. A few projects for the house. Switched rooms for a bigger bedroom for my daughter and I will have a craft room soon again soon. Great things here. Just trying to breathe while everything else in this country feels like it's being set on fire. ❤️

Yarn--more from stash, using up donated acrylics. Too stubborn to donate when I can hypothetically use it all. Shells and fptc/bptc posts.
