This week’s RECognized employees are Damien and Keegan!

Damien is a fourth year camp counselor and director who is being RECognized for the awesome way he stepped up this summer! From keeping pre-teens engaged to keeping everyone in line, Damien did a great job. Damien is going to UW-Superior where he’ll follow in his idol’s (Ms. Adrienne’s) footsteps and study exercise and sports science. When not at the REC, Damien enjoys soccer, hockey, and contemplating just why he likes his co-workers so much!

Keegan is being RECognized for his calmness and being unfazed by anything the campers do. Seriously, nothing fazes Mr. Keegs! The second year counselor is a junior at Marinette and enjoys soccer, fishing, walking in straight lines, and explaining why fish show up to his supervisors.

This week’s RECognized employees are Nico and Pam!

Nico is a second year Day Camp counselor. The Peshtigo grad is being RECognized for her work ethic and ability to work with all age groups (she especially likes it when they want to skate!) When not at the REC, Nico enjoys hockey and hanging out with friends.

Pam is also a second year Day Camp counselor and does it all at the REC. She is being RECognized for the joy and the family she brings to the REC! (There are three generations of Pam’s family at the REC!) When not at the REC, “Pammy” enjoys being with her family, getting hugs from her grandson, and taking her dog on walks.

Congratulations to these amazing employees!

This week’s RECognized staff are Gwyn, Savanah, and Chet!

Gwyn is a fourth year Camp Counselor who is being RECognized for being amazing! Every week, Gwyn could be RECognized because she does it all! When not at the REC, Gwyn enjoys adventuring with her friends and playing with her chinchillas.

Savanah is being RECognized for the awesome job she is doing as the Summer Camp Coordinator! She has worked at the REC for six years and does it all! When not at the REC, Savanah loves to read, text Adrienne, and dream about different jobs (though we all know she’s going to be a great teacher once she finishes student teaching this upcoming school year!)

Chet is a first year lifeguard being RECognized for the vibes he brings to the pool. When he’s not at work, his fellow guards whine about him not being there. The freshman at Marinette can be found go-karting, fishing, or playing baseball, hockey, or football when not working.

A little late, but last week’s RECognized employees are Wesley, Wyatt, and Ali!

Wesley is a second year lifeguard being RECognized for his dependability, responsibility, and work ethic. The junior at Peshtigo plays hockey, weight lifts, and deals with his little brothers when not at the pool.

Wyatt might be a first year counselor, but he’s not new to Day Camp as he was a camper for many years! The freshman at Menominee is being RECognized for his growth over the summer (and not just his hair growth!) and ability to have fun at all times. When not at the REC, Wyatt enjoys hanging with his friends and playing video games.

Ali is in her fifth of doing everything when it comes to camp! The sophomore at UW-Stevens Point is being RECognized for her ability to do everything and doing it with a smile. When not at the REC, Ali enjoys playing all the instruments (though clarinet is her favorite!)

Congratulations to all these employees!

Bend and Stretch is back for the season starting August 24th! Class is every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 - 9:45 am. A seven class punch card can be purchased at the REC front desk for $11.
