🏀 MORGAN ATHLETICS WELCOMES DREW RACKLEY AS HEAD BOYS BASKETBALL COACH 🏀

Morgan Local Schools is proud to announce Drew Rackley as the new Head Coach of the Morgan Raiders Boys Basketball program.

Coach Rackley brings a strong basketball background to Morgan, having competed at both the Division I and Division II collegiate levels while also spending more than seven years training and developing athletes of all ages. He served as a varsity assistant coach for the Raiders this past season and quickly established strong relationships with the players, families, and community.

“What drew me to Morgan was the people,” Rackley shared. “The kids on the Morgan basketball team and people in the Morgan community accepted me like one of their own as an assistant last year. Morgan has great kids and a lovely community that I can see myself being a part of for a long time.”

Coach Rackley describes his coaching style as approachable, honest, and demanding in the right ways.

“I’m easy to talk to and approachable, but I’ll also be tough on players and hold them accountable when needed. Everyone will be held to the same standard,” Rackley said. “I want to develop players through individual skill work and team workouts that put them in real game situations.”

His vision for the program focuses on building a culture that extends far beyond the scoreboard.

“Short term, I want us to compete and continue moving the program forward,” Rackley explained. “Long term, I want Morgan basketball to develop a culture of excellence both on and off the floor — a culture that leads to success regardless of talent or skill level. I want Morgan basketball to be known as a team that is as tough as anyone and also knows how to play the right way.”

Coach Rackley also emphasized the importance of relationships with players and families.

“I might ask a lot from players at times, but I always have what’s best for them and the team at heart. Families can expect their kids to be treated with honesty and love while also being held to a high standard.”

Outside of basketball, Coach Rackley enjoys spending time with his wife, Landyn, and their four-year-old son, Tatum. The Rackley's are also excited to welcome a baby girl later this year.
