Stranger : Is that Dune riding a scooter hehehe ( Non electrical scooter lol )

Little do they know I have more vehicles than their whole family !

For the record !

I enjoy scooting! Especially with my son & you might even see me walking around as I try to achieve 10’000 steps on a daily weather its in Grey Lynn or in Mangere bridge as I have an appartment in both areas .
You won’t see me skating anymore as I had a head injury & I don’t skate like when I was a teen …
But giggle all you want , judge me all you want .
At AA they also help me not giving the Ice Cube facial before I fasi your ass cause then you would ring the police on me like the old days .

I don’t flex , but I enjoy doing what you digital can’t walk to the shop punks can’t do !
I enjoy the sun on my face like an old favourite movie Mask & no not Ace Ventura mask eh .
Give the car a break & do what I did as a kid , walked & bussed & I kicked it all day at the park shooting hoops, skating or playing bull rush !

Wish you the best anyway & like my son says , there’s too many chunky people around aye Dad …
Yeah son , too busy on their phone eating junkfood, drinking fizzys while judging Dune .
I’m also Sonny who enjoys walks in the park 💙🤍❤️🙏🏾

Day 71 SOBER 🙏🏾

Received my 60 day sober badge today from AA ! ( The Gold one )
I was asked to share my journey thus far today & I talked about my Mother in a coma & that’s the time I went killer cray on the streets & how I played most of my topside games hungover & thats why I didn’get that Paramatta contract , but I didn’t care cause Im Manly 4 life 🤣

The first month was EXTREMELY hard though !
But now piece of cake 😂

Thanks to my kids ! Without them I wouldn’t have made week 1 !

My student asked me to be honest about her artwork as I usually encourage everyone & tell them all their work is great .But on Monday I told her what she wanted to hear !I said if the flowers to the left are light pink & the the ones down bottom are dark … That means the sun is shining on the left & it’s best to paint with the object in front of you or the image in hand instead of your memory & that way you will catch the details in the pedals & the blends/cuts etc …. Art is an emotion & no matter what I or anyone else say …As long as you like it that’s all that matters !She replied !That’s exactly how I felt & what I needed to hear !

Even though I’ve been sober for 42 days.

I received my 30 days sober badge today from my AA class in Grey Lynn 🙌🏾

Thanks to my kids for their super natural powers support !
Love you guys til infinity !

God is good 🙏🏾

On one side of the coin is our AA prayer we say before & after our session.

I’ve completed alotta goals some said was impossible !
There’s not one thing I haven’t seen or done !
I’m a true testament that no matter how dark life becomes & how long I lived in the struggle surrounded by poverty, serving time in prison with gang affiliates to being raised in a broken home with my 4 brothers & the strongest women I know who played both roles as a parent .

We can come out of that dark tunnel & better ourselves & our lives … Not just for ourselves… But more importantly for our kids & their kids !
Just cause we had it rough, let’s not use that as the go to excuse when times get hard !

We had our turn , let’s not just be around , but let’s show up like everyday is our last .
My generation need to let go of the fia tough upbringings & hug our kids
& let them know …. We don’t only love them , but we plan to be around for their kids 21st & let’s climb these obstacles together, cause nothing else should matter … But the humans we bought into this world & them alone is the main source ! Our main ingredient why we get up & keep moving forward !
