Check out this event our friends at Cobb County Government and Explore Cobb Parks are hosting at Jim R. Miller Park on Friday, June 26, from 5–10 PM as they celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary! 🇺🇸

Bring the family out for an evening of patriotic fun featuring live entertainment, family activities, local food vendors, and community celebration. The night will conclude with a spectacular patriotic drone show lighting up the sky in honor of 250 years of American independence.

Admission and parking are free. We hope to see you there! 🇺🇸✨

🎓 Fair Fans,

We are proud to announce the 2026 recipients of the Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair Scholarships.

With the generous support of Drew Exposition, we were honored to present 10 $5,000 scholarships in the third year of our scholarship program!

These outstanding graduating seniors were selected based on their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to serving their schools and communities.

🎓 2026 Scholarship Recipients:

• Jonathan Baker → Kansas State University
• Katherine (Katie Rose) Coleman → University of Georgia
• McKayla Davis→ Georgia Institute of Technology

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Joe 'Trooper Looper'. He was a revered member of our community and the Fair Family, having formerly led security at the Fair and devoted many years to the Cobb Police Department. May he rest in peace after a life well-lived spanning 91 years. We will miss our friend.

If you plan to apply for the 2026 Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair Scholarships, now is the time to finish your application.

To be considered, all materials must be mailed and received by March 20th.

Don’t wait until the last minute — ten $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating Cobb County seniors.

Make sure your application is complete, postmarked, and on its way!
