We’re honored to share that last night, The Strand received an award from Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society recognizing the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre as an “Outstanding Contribution to the Preservation of Our Heritage.”

As we continue to celebrate 90 years of The Strand, this recognition feels especially meaningful. This historic landmark would not be here today without the incredible support of the community that rallied behind its restoration in the early 2000s, and the support that continues to sustain and preserve The Strand today.

Places like this only remain preserved when a community continues to believe in them. Thanks to all of you that help keep The Strand’s story going, and thank you to Cobb Landmarks for this honor and the work you do to help preserve our community's history!
