The PS5 jailbreak is here, allowing gamers to access the full PS4 and PS5 libraries with DLC for free. Even crazier, the PS5 can now play PS3 and PS2 discs directly. Modders are keeping these older ecosystems alive as PlayStation phases out physical media.

This game right here made me fall in love with the Battlefield franchise. I wish we had a sequel to it but one can hope and honestly the original dev team is no longer with DICE

Sony made it mandatory to update to software 14.10, if you want to continue using PlayStation Network🚀

Some games also refuse to let players play unless you download the latest version, as they won’t work on 14.00 anymore.

This is the digital-only future that Sony wants for you. This is way beyond fear-mongering or conspiracy theories, this is just reality.

A software will mandate whether you can access a network or play some games, and while now it seems that it’s to prevent jailbreaks, but one can only imagine what else they’ll bring in future updates and then prevent you from fully using your own console and games if you don’t agree to update.

With each new PS5 firmware update, it will be mandatory to install it to continue accessing PlayStation's online services.

If you don't update your console, you'll lose access to these services until you install the latest version.
