Ironing is VERY important! It has EVERYTHING to do with how accurate the project turns out! So, if you ever wonder what the inside of your quilt from MelodyHillQuilts looks like, this is it! This is a tshirt quilt, thus the open seams. Keeps them from being so bumpy and thick! We care about the details here at Melody Hill Quilts…. Even the ones you can’t see🤍

A quilt begun by grandma, years ago, is now going to be in the arms of the little girl she meant it for; except she’s a grown young lady now! What a special gift for her Mom to have finished for her daughter! The grandma started the cross stitching before she was called home…. Now, it’s a complete gift for her granddaughter! It turned out beautiful!
Mrs Joan squared each cross stitch panel, added the sashing, and I quilted it with ribboning, as per the wishes of the mom (to match the ribbons on the bouquets in the panels). It turned out so lovely and so special! We are grateful Mom allowed us to have a part in this beautiful, sentimental gift!

From Grandma, who’s already gone to Heaven, her handiwork reaches from beyond the grave, to her granddaughter! Hours spent with a needle and thread, now reaching to it’s rightful place. Those same little arms that once wrapped around Grandma, now are a grown young lady’s arms, and can wrap around the quilt meant for her. Merry Christmas sweet girl! 💙🤍💙

Take a look at this beautiful tshirt quilt made for a young girl who will be graduating in May of 2027!! Her mom has been saving baby clothes, tshirts, and other sentimental items since she was born! Mrs Joan pieced the top as her first project here at Melody Hill Quilts! She had some of the cutest ideas for the baby clothes by making the cute little Dresdens out of them!! I chose Garden Daisy Whimsy for the e2e quilting design, and bound it in a red grunge with hints of purple in it!
All in all, I think it turned out so cute, and I’m quite sure this young lady is going to fall in love with this quilt that possesses the memories she holds so dear!

Here’s another beauty hot off my freehand quilting frame! Look closely because this beauty was all hand pieced 😳!! I know, I know, it’s too perfect to be done all by hand, but isn’t it the most lovely thing??!!?? Her wishes were to have a line going down both sides of every ditch and use light blue thread. So, I obliged her and did just that! It turned out so elegant and beautiful!! ♥️

This little beauty was so much fun to quilt! Once I got started, I couldn’t stop!! It turned out darling! Eve did such a lovely job putting it together and I am so happy she allowed me to do the quilting for her! I forgot how much I love freehand quilting! So much fun!!

I couldn’t stand it! I went to run the errands and came back to finish this beauty!! I would’ve thought about it all night long! I just love this freehand filler in the background! So so cute! Eve did a beautiful job piecing it with all the applique, and I sure enjoyed quilting it!! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! 🎄
