The very first movie I ever saw in theaters was 9 to 5, I was 8, ever since I’ve been a Dolly Parton fan. 🎥

I remember being a bit jealous of a friend for owning 9 to 5 on a 45 single vinyl record. We would sit in her bedroom and play this song over and over. 🎶 Isn’t it funny which childhood memories decide to stick around!

Hearing the news of her passing yesterday was sad, but also so interesting having the ability to learn more about her incredible life through others memorials put out by others. Spending her whole life sharing her talents, and unending generosity with the whole world, she truly was a doll!

At our Zoo, we actually have two sweet animals named after her, a cute little blonde guinea pig named Dolly, and also one of our prehensile tailed porcupines, Dolly Darton.

Rest in peace Dolly, we will always love you! ❤️

We would like to put to our community of friends that our two cows, Zsa-Zsa and Zoey, that were at the Renaissance Festival had hooves that were too long and should have been trimmed.

Because they are miniatures,
we have been searching for a mini chute to trim their hooves so we did not have to sedate them. The last time it was done, was in a large cow chute, and did not handle it well, so we decided not to do that again.

Zsa-Zsa is a 15 year old zebu cow and sedation is hard on all animals. Our Vet is coming out to our farm tomorrow to oversee their sedation, and take care of the hoof trims.

We apologize to those who may have be offended and feel we let you down.
