This weekend, singing at Lord of Life was a special treat. Not only did I get to sing and play with the Worship Band and enjoy every minute of it, but I also got to share one of my own songs within Pastor Joel’s sermon. “Can’t Pin it On God,” written with Pat Balder in 2014, matches up with Joel’s sermon called “Does Everything Happen for a Reason?”

I love how Pastor Joel took on this topic, and how this song works into the message. It made for many great conversations over the weekend. Here is a link to the sermon and the song. Enjoy!

Only two more Monday night outdoor services left! Stop by at 7pm to hear Pastor Joel’s sermon “Does Everything Happen for a Reason?” It should be a beautiful night for worship. You can also hear his sermon at lordoflife.org/sermons.

Loving my time at Stages Theatre Company. Teaching "Song and Dance Boot Camp" is right up my alley. I love helping students find their voices!

My newest artwork is being shown at Dillsboro Arts Friendship Gallery. It is titled “Generations.” The DAFG is a wonderful new artistic space in the town where my husband, Shane, grew up. This exhibit features artists who are connected to the residents of Dillsboro.

We visited the gallery soon after it opened and I was so impressed by its vitality, and by the quantity and quality of the work displayed in its first exhibit, which featured only Dillsboro artists.

This piece explores the journey of generations through a poem by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I was truly inspired by his words and how they reflect humanity in all generations.

Installation of my latest mixed media artwork! For Kelly Kadlec's light and bright home office and music room that needed some color and inspiration... this piece includes inlays of music that Kelly has written and gestures of hymn texts surrounding the guitar! Each attached canvas features a quote about music.

Had a wonderful time last night recording my song "Come to the Water" with the St. George choir! Thanks to the awesome singers, Kelly Kadlec, and to Jim Tierney, producer extraordinaire, whose beautiful studio is such a fun place to be!
