Maker Fair Minnesota

Only 47 days to go until Maker Fair Minnesota 2026! This year’s event is Saturday, October 3rd, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Nicollet County Fairgrounds in Saint Peter, Minnesota. There is still so much to do by us organizers and so little time to do it! 😬

We are still in need of quite a few volunteers. Trust us, we take care of our volunteers and make it worth their while with yummy food, drinks, t-shirts, and a nice gift from us! If you are interested in helping out, please submit your info on our website or shoot us a message if you have any questions.

We can’t wait to see everyone on October 3rd!

With the 14th Annual Maker Fair Minnesota Handcrafted Market being less than two months away, it’s time for us to start recruiting volunteers! Volunteers are a key ingredient to the recipe for a successful Maker Fair Minnesota event!

We are looking for help for a variety of shifts on Friday, October 2nd, and Saturday, October 3rd.

Every volunteer gets a free Maker Fair MN t-shirt, a yummy meal, snacks and beverages, a “thank you” gift, and time to shop before/after your shift.

Please use the link below to submit your information and let us know which shifts you are available for. Our event would not be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Please consider spending a few hours helping us out. We look forward to hearing from you!

It saddens us that we have to post something like this again this year, but the scammers are upon us! We found the first scammer comment of the year on one of our recent posts about Maker Fair Minnesota 2026. To make matters worse, we learned firsthand last year that there was at least one instance of someone successfully scamming a potential vendor when this vendor showed up to set up for the event and we had no record of them. They showed us their email communication with the scammer and it was so disheartening to see the lengths these scammers go to in order to try a make some money off of unsuspecting people.

All this being said, we want to remind everyone that any and all Maker Fair Minnesota related content on Facebook will be posted directly by Maker Fair Minnesota or by an event organizer [Scott Dirkx, Karen Dirkx (not sure why we can’t tag her 😞), Sarah Dirkx, or Kelly Youngblom]. If a post on our page looks questionable, it probably isn’t from us.

We do our best to review all our posts multiple times a day to block scammers and delete their comments, but these scammers must not have anything else to do with their time and it is hard for us to catch everything 😡. Thank you for your time!

The official flyer for the 14th Annual Maker Fair Minnesota handcrafted market is finally ready for sharing!

Our thanks go out to anyone who is willing to take a moment and share this post with their friends. With this year’s event happening on Saturday, October 3rd, one weekend earlier than usual, we could use all the help we can get making people aware of details regarding Maker Fair Minnesota 2026. The official event page will be created in the coming weeks.

If you submitted a jury application for this year’s event, but have not heard from us yet, please continue to be patient with us. Between the date change and all the applications we received from new vendors so far, things are taking longer than normal this year. If you are interested in selling at our event and have not submit a jury application yet, please head to our website and submit one before we fill all the remaining booths. Maker Fair Minnesota is always a sold out event, and 2026 will be no different. As always, thank you all for your continued support. You make this event possible!

Check out this post about one of our biggest helpers, Kelly Youngblom with Breaking Bread Homestead! Kelly has been helping the Maker Fair Minnesota team for many years now. She has a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off her back. We are happy to see her be recognized for all the good she does!

🍀 You were nominated…. Kelly Youngblom! Gina Franklin said, "Kelly has an unmatched kindness. She has served the community by baking cakes for chronically ill children. She shares her time and knowledge with sour dough. She is always volunteering her time and church and in the community."

That’s the message our leprechauns are delivering all around town this month ✨

And behind every nomination is a story:
Someone who cares
Someone who noticed
Someone who’s grateful

We love being part of sharing those stories 💚

Know someone who should be Shamrocked? Send us their name and why you want to nominate them!

The wait is over! It’s time to SAVE THE DATE for Maker Fair Minnesota 2026! Thank you for being patient with us while we focused on the health of one of the members of the Maker Fair Minnesota team.

Maker Fair Minnesota is one of southern Minnesota’s largest handcrafted only markets. Due to a scheduling conflict with the venue, this year’s event will be held a week earlier than usual on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 at the Nicollet County Fairgrounds in Saint Peter, Minnesota from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Emails will be sent to vendors that participated in our 2025 event in the coming days with instructions for early registration. If you are a new vendor wishing to sell your handmade goods at this year’s event, please keep an eye on this page for updates about when jury applications will be available for submission.

We will be returning to our usual “second Saturday of October” timing for our 2027 event, but in the meantime, we could use everyone’s help getting the word out about Maker Fair Minnesota 2026’s earlier date. Please take a moment to share this post with your friends. Thank you all for your continuous support. We are so blessed! ❤️
