Our final scholarship recipient this season is RJ Chiet!

RJ has demonstrated outstanding leadership over the past two seasons by supporting both our Learn to Lancer and Lancer Cadet programs. Her commitment to helping younger members grow speaks volumes about the kind of leader she is.

When reflecting on her experience, RJ shared:
“Being in the Lancers guard has given me another place to call home and has served as an outlet for me to unwind, push myself, have fun, and grow.”

This summer, RJ will march her first season with the Madison Scouts, and we have no doubt she will shine there just as she has with the Lancers.

Next up, Colin Besel!

Colin continues to give our students something to strive for every single day. After previously marching with the Madison Scouts, he’s heading into his first season with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps this summer—and we couldn’t be more excited to watch his journey continue.

There’s no doubt his drive and determination will shine through in everything he does.

When asked about what DCI means to him, Colin shared:
“DCI is more than a lot of people think. It’s an education, yes—it’s a phamily, yes—but for me, it’s my inspiration to keep going some days, to not give up, and to strive to be the best me I can be every single day.”

That mindset is exactly what makes Colin such a powerful role model for our program. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on this season! 🔥🎺

First up, Elie Wendinger!

The Lancers have been incredibly fortunate to have Elie return to help instruct the next generation of our colorguard. She leads by example, consistently going the extra mile and bringing a level of dedication that makes everyone around her better.

When reflecting on her DCI experience, Elie shared:
“I have learned that leadership often comes in small moments: helping a teammate clean their work, staying positive during long rehearsals, or stepping up when energy is low.”

That attitude and spirit are exactly why she’s made such a lasting impact on our program.

We are beyond proud to cheer her on in her age-out year with the Madison Scouts! 💚
