✈️ THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Centenary Social Justice Theatre's production of COME FROM AWAY a success! Total attendance for all six shows was 1,184, and thanks to the generosity of our audiences, $10,855 was raised in donations to Centenary’s Holy Grounds hot breakfast ministry. In tomorrow’s post we will highlight many (but not all!) of the people who helped make this a successful production!

"Come From Away," the humorous and hope-filled musical based on the true story of how a small town in Newfoundland welcomed 7,000 stranded travelers when U.S. airspace closed on September 11, 2021. Over five days, the town of Gander welcomed strangers - creating enduring friendships and showcasing kindness and humanity in the face of global tragedy.
Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, Newfoundlanders cheered the stranded travelers with music, compassion and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family. "Come From Away" gives theatres the opportunity to contribute to its worldwide impact by spreading the show's message of kindness, unity, and resilience within their communities.

What a night! In spite of parking challenges downtown we had a full house Friday night! In fact the audience nearly equaled our seats a half hour before showtime. Please join us Saturday, August 8th for the 7 pm show or Sunday, August 9th for the 2 pm matinee. Arrive early. Seating is limited!
