REALLYBIG PRINTS!! @ MIAD
The exhibition of 34 prints curated from all six RBP events officially opens at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, 273 E. Erie St. on June 8. The exhibit will run through September 5. The opening reception will happen as part of Milwaukee's Summer Gallery Night and Day - July 17th and 18th. Programming and a gallery talk will happen late August or early September. The curation of the exhibit was a collaborative effort by Berel Lutsky, Craig Grabhorn, and Stephanie Carpenter from RBP and Teddy Leply and Laura Farzahd Mayer from MIAD. This was not an easy task. There are so many fine prints that it was very hard to choose. Really Big News For Really BIG PRINTS!!
Really BIG PRINTS!! will be happening July 14 -17 2027 at Paradigm Coffee in Sheboygan. Mags and Kate of Paradigm Coffee, and Quasius Construction have agreed to be the new home for Really BIG PRINTS!! We will be printing in the spacious building behind Paradigm Coffee. The large shed with large openings at either end will allow for “rain or shine” printing sessions with coffee and baked goods available mere steps away. The timing is also good as the beginning of Sheboygan’s famous Mid-Summer Art Festival overlaps with the last morning of printing on the 17th. We expect to have many eyes for Saturday’s printing session, and to able to have a pop-up gallery on site in the afternoon. More details to come, but mark your calendars for July 2027 and watch here and on FB and Instagram for the opening of applications in October 2026.
But wait!! There’s more!!
A selection of thirty-four prints from all six Really BIG PRINTS!! events will be shown at Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design’s Brooks Stevens Gallery this summer. Opening on June 8th and continuing through September 5th with gallery programming planned for late August /early September. The prints were chosen from the one hundred and ninety-four images in the archive by Berel Lutsky, Craig Grabhorn, Stephanie Carpenter, Teddy Leply, and Laura Farzhad Mayer. This was not an easy task, and we dearly wished we could have shown more. That said, it’s an impressive body of work and will be on view for Milwaukee’s summer Gallery Night/Day -July 17-18.

Yesterday Really Big Prints removed all of our prints and "stuff" from the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. We are looking for a venue for July 2027, and will have an update on that soon. We also have some other exciting news about the collection and upcoming exhibits. We are in negotiations with UW - Milwaukee about a permanent home for the now 194 prints in the collection, and we are working on an exhibition of prints curated from all six RBP events at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design that will run from May through September of 2026. Check back here and at our website reallybigprints.org for updates about 2027
