Well, the holidays are over and so are the girls’ birthdays. So I return to creating fun things!! Crocheting squares has turned into making my own hat pattern based off my leather and fur patterns. The first green and white hat was a huge learning experience. I finished it out though and lined it with rabbit. Then I made a hat for my daughter with a fox my husband trapped and skinned when we lived in Kotzebue AK. To say I love how it turned out is a HUGE understatement. I forgot how much I love turning beautiful furs into functional and incredibly WARM garments 😍

My awesome neighbor is teaching me how to crotchet! I think I’m starting to know where to put the hook but I’m struggling with keeping the right count and where to put all my fingers!! Suddenly I feel like I have 25 fingers on each hand 😂 Anyways, here’s my blue rectangle. Enjoy 😎

Current WIPs!! Wanted to learn a new stitch called Ceylan stitch, it looks like a sweater. So I decided to do a mouse catching snowflakes in a cozy sweater. But I started to like the project too much and didn’t want to screw it up. So I make a practice piece for my practice piece: a solitary mitten 😂 The painting is of something out of the Bible. Can you guess what story I’m portraying????
