FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FROM THE RONCALLI THEATRE DEPARTMENT

The Roncalli theatre department regrets to announce that the spring production of Into the Woods is cancelled. We made this decision in what we believe is the best interest of all involved, taking into consideration the health and safety of all concerned, and the personal and academic implications of having moved to online instruction. We are so proud of all involved in the production, and are grateful for their time, talent, and dedication. We hope to resume the production in the fall semester. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Here are some important updates on how COVID-19 is affecting events in the Roncalli Atrium and Zimmer Auditorium!

1. As you may already know, this weekend’s performance of “Into the Woods” has been postponed. Alternative dates are being looked into, but nothing is confirmed yet.

2. The Band/Choir Tour to Universal Studios in Florida, scheduled for the week of April 6th, has been postponed indefinitely.

3. Spring Music Explosion, scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, has been cancelled.

4. The Roncalli Pierside Auction, scheduled for Saturday, April 25th, has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 30th. The meeting for the auction has been moved to Wednesday, May 13th.

5. WSMA State Solo and Ensemble, scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd, has been cancelled. Alternative performance options are available to qualifying soloists, who have all been contacted about the cancellation.

6. As of this posting, the Spring Awards concert, scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th, is still happening as planned. The same is true for the Manitowoc Memorial Day parade, which our marching band will be participating in this year.

Into the Woods!

Auditions are next Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14th and 15th, immediately after school. Performances are March 26th, 27th, and 28th at 7:00 PM. More news about the production to come soon, so stay tuned!
