Come From Away, presented by The Masquers, Inc., is a story of a community caring for strangers all across the world in a global time of crisis. The kindness, patience and love the citizens of Gander shared with the world has become one of the most fantastic displays of humanity in human history.

Our cast and crew is creating a community of their own in the rehearsal room, assembling from all over Northeastern WI to tell this story - from New London, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Green Bay and more - taking care of and helping each other along the way.

It's starting to look very early 2000s in the rehearsal room. While most of our cast and crew members look at props like these cell phones with nostalgia, a few you would swear are acting like they've seen the Mona Lisa 🤣 Which side of the coin are you on?!

Every show takes care to create and support the world of the story. It's quite an exciting thing to relive a very real moment in time.

We are fully up and running in rehearsals and are beginning to understand why actors all over the world are lovingly calling Come from Away the "Chair Musical" 🤣

While our actors are attempting to keep their heads on straight, there is no denying that there is a seat for everyone when we perform Come From Away at the historic Capitol Civic Centre in November!

As September comes to a close, now is your chance to move into October with more confidence and a new skill!

Through fun exercises in pantomime and improvisation, you’ll explore the basics of stage locations, entrances and exits, and other stage movement. You’ll practice using your hands, feet, body, and facial expressions to communicate focus, character, and emotion.
You’ll also learn basic dance steps and choreography from Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller,” just in time for Halloween!
We hope you'll join us on October 3rd for this fun workshop!

Did you know our cast includes an "Honorary Newfoundlander"? Earlier this month, cast member Sydney Rabas (Martha and Others) traveled as a "Come from Away" to Gander as our nation observed the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Just as the "plane people" experienced in the days following their planes being diverted to Gander, she experienced the hospitality and community of the people there:

"I recently went on a trip to Gander Newfoundland and the surrounding areas and met some of these amazing people for myself, both those who are reflected in the show, and others who have plenty more stories to tell. It really is a community you could never imagine until you experience it yourself. From this “Honorary Newfoundlander” to you, take this story as your sign to do something good in the world. We all have the ability to build our community the way the ganderites did for our people on 9/11."

We are thankful to have Sydney in our cast, and so honored to be telling this important story on stage in November! Tickets will be going on sale in ONE WEEK!

What a lovely broadway theatre tradition being brought home to honor Tom Drill.

Tom was always a huge supporter of our organization. Chances are if you've been around long enough, you've seen him putting up some of our posters, or holding the door open for you at a few of our performances. He was always a champion of everything that went on in our community, and we are so thankful that Tom Drill has been woven into our shared histories on the Lakeshore ❤️
