From the 4th/5th grade coach, Eric Walker:
Thank you for being patient with me. I've learned so much about myself, and how insanely difficult coaching is. But it has been incredibly rewarding.
Thank you to all the parents that helped out with concessions, admission, cleanup and just getting your boys to practice and games. I know it's been a lot, and those that have gone the extra mile, you have my endless appreciation. Thank you.
Final Record: 12-22
We played some REALLY good teams with some really good programs. Remember, we have 4th graders on the team too! If we took the 20 games in the middle of the season, we were just over 500.
Ben, with 234 points on the season!
When he's on he's on! Great job with cuts and assists.
Wes, with 161!
Driving machine this year. And most 3s on the team.
Diontay, with 148!
Always seemed to find himself in the right spot.
Ace and Conner, both just shy of 100.
Always waiting right under the hoop.
Everyone on the team scored this year!
Will: Absolutely fearless! Huge kids and he's not afraid to drive in and go for boards.
Jones: Always ready and Mr. super hustle.
Callan: Small but mighty, with great steals and made his first game points!
Conner: The defensive master, never afraid to assign him the opponents best (pink shoes, blue shoes, etc)
Miller: Hands down most improved and SO coachable, an amazing quality to have.
Bentley: The scrappy squirrel. Always in the way, in a good way! Super aggressive defensively.
I have very high expectations for all of you!
Perfection is not the expectation, never has been. But 100% effort is. Mistakes happen, we're all learning. Let bygones be bygones, fix it on the next play.
When you play as a team, it's such a beautiful thing to watch. Stay coachable, work together, keep your teammates up and keep the effort up, always."
I'd like to thank Coach Eric for his time and dedication to be a VOLUNTEER coach for these boys. It's definitely not easy and each year gets harder and harder to find. You've set a solid foundation for these boys that they will use for years to come. -Brody
