If you missed us in Ann Arbor last night, take a short drive to picturesque Macon Creek for this poetic weekend!
Something wonderful and unusual is happening out at Macon Creek this weekend.
For two afternoons, music, poetry, nature, and community will come together in The Hive Gallery, surrounded by fields, woods, walking paths, and the kind of quiet that lets you actually hear yourself think again.
Join us for one event or both:
Saturday, June 6 | 2:00 PM
Merged | Submerged
An immersive chamber music performance featuring flute, violin/viola, and harp - music inspired by poetry, storytelling, mystery, memory, Harlem jazz traditions, and the sea.
Sunday, June 7 | 2:00 PM
Immersed in Nature
A welcoming poetry workshop led by poet Amy Rust Higgins exploring nature, reflection, and creative writing through guided prompts, conversation, and live music. No writing experience needed - truly.
This weekend, like everything at Macon Creek, is about connection. About slowing down for a couple of hours. About remembering that art is not something distant or elite - itβs something human beings have always made together.
The Hive Gallery is fully accessible with easy parking, comfortable seating, and no stairs.
