For the Love of Art was opened in October 2012 by Terri McKeage. It is an art studio that offers art lessons to the public during Spring/Summer months and is for all ages. The idea for the art studio was born out of the need to reintroduce art to adults and children. Sadly our Michigan schools have cut art programs from their budget. Due to school cut backs we have children growing up without exp

osure to art and due to the fact that art is under appreciated in our society, we have adults who are intimidated by art. The studio fulfills the need for art in our community. Terri's goal is to teach children/adults to love art and that drawing and painting can be a healthy positive outlet for everyone. The objective of the studio workshops is NOT to make anyone an expert in painting, and drawing and such. Instead the workshops and lessons are geared towards fun and experimentation with colors, textures, and mediums. Through the lessons people learn to relax and be creative, to "release their inner child" for children to be children.
