What an incredible day! ❤️

Studio 42 & Co. is so thankful to everyone who came out and supported the First Annual Hometown Hero benefit pageant at the Melody Theatre in Leachville!

First, we want to give a huge thank you to Briana Richard and her mom, Miss Lisa Tucker, for putting this event together and helping make the entire day possible. We are also so grateful to the Melody Theater for once again being such an amazing venue and welcoming space for our community events.

And of course, thank you to every single contestant and family who came out, participated, supported one another, and made today so much fun!

Together, through pageant entries and People’s Choice, an incredible $1,781 was raised for Studio 42 & Co.! These funds will go directly toward helping us continue growing our upcoming classes, camps, workshops, and opportunities for kids and families in our community.

On top of that, this morning’s “Pay What You Can” admission helped raise an additional $640 in cash for the Leachville Pantry Community Leachville Food Pantry, along with so many canned and boxed food donations. That is something worth celebrating!

Days like this are such a reminder of what can happen when small communities come together, support one another, and have a little fun while doing it. ❤️

Thank you again to EVERYONE who helped, donated, participated, volunteered, shared, or supported today in any way. We are so incredibly grateful!

Over six weeks, students ages 6–14 will work together to create a condensed performance inspired by the first Disney ZOMBIES movie while building skills they can carry with them far beyond the stage.

Throughout the workshop, students will practice:

✨ Confidence and performing in front of others
✨ Stage presence and character work
✨ Dance and musical theatre choreography
✨ Listening and following directions
✨ Memorization and retention skills
✨ Working as part of a team
✨ Formations, spacing, and stage awareness
✨ Storytelling through movement and performance

This is NOT a traditional technical dance class. It is a fun, beginner-friendly performance experience designed for kids who love music, dancing, acting, ZOMBIES, or simply want a place to build confidence and try something new.

And the best part? Students aren’t just coming to class each week they’re working toward a finished performance for their families! 🎭

We are currently planning the final performance for Halloween weekend. Participating families will have a say in whether we perform on Friday, October 30, or Saturday, October 31, and we can adjust the performance time based on what works best for our families!

No previous dance or theatre experience is required.

Something ZOMBIE-fic is coming to Studio 42 & Co.! 🧟‍♀️⚡

ZOMBIES Performance Workshop
🧟 Ages 6–14
📅 Tuesdays
⏰ 5:00–6:00 PM
🎭 6-week workshop
💚 $85 per student

This six-week musical theatre and dance workshop is inspired by the first Disney ZOMBIES movie!

Students will learn choreography, character performance, stage presence, formations, teamwork, and storytelling while preparing a condensed performance for families.

This is not a traditional technical dance class. The focus is on performance, confidence, musical theatre, character work, and having fun while creating a finished show!

Performance numbers may include favorites like My Year, Fired Up, BAMM, Someday, Stand and more.

Students may also have the opportunity to perform as characters like Zed, Addison, Bucky, Eliza, Bree, Bonzo, Zoey, the Zombie Ensemble, Cheerleaders, and other Seabrook characters. Character assignments will be based on enrollment, age, confidence, performance ability, and what best serves the group.

Students will work on musical theatre choreography, stage presence, facial expressions, rhythm, character work, teamwork, formations, choreography retention, and performance confidence.

A minimum of 5 registrations is needed for the workshop to take place.

KIDS CAMP INTEREST CHECK 💚🧟‍♂️

We are thinking about offering a Zombies Kids Camp at Studio 42 & Co. in the next few weeks, and I want to see who would be interested!

This would be a 6–7 week camp where kids would sing, dance, and work toward a fun performance at the end. We are thinking 1-hour classes, either 1 or 2 days a week. Class would be 5-6 PM.

Before we set it, I need to know what works best for families.

Ages 7-13

Hello, friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that we will be postponing our production of Carrie to a spot next season. Due to unforseen personal circumstances, we will not be able to fully realize the show or give it everything it needs and deserves to go ahead with the original date. These things happen, and it doesn't mean the end of the world! We apologize to those who have been working tirelessly on their auditions and anyone else affected by this announcement.

Fear not though, we still have plenty of events for the rest of the year to get excited for! Please stayed tuned for updates on the future of Carrie, and everything else we have planned!
