A perfect introduction to Pique Assiette* style mosaics for interior use. "Intro to Mosaics" is a great building block for students who want to: learn the art of mosaic over a period of time, are intereste

This class covers, terminology, substrates, fixatives, tools and their use, setting, grouting and finishing. Have an awesome time making mosaics with old or new friends, listen to music and let the creative juices flow! Students will make a 15" x 15" wall mirror to take home. No art or mosaic experience necessary. YOU can do it! Class is held in TWO sessions. You need to be available for both dates to complete your project. Friday evenings: 6:00pm-10:00pm (design, tesserae and setting)
Sundays: 4:00 - 7:00PM (grouting and finishing)

About: A perfect introduction to Pique Assiette* style mosaics for interior use. "Intro to Mosaics" is a great building block for students who want to learn the art of mosaics. Begin here, so you can do larger projects in the future. This class covers terminology, substrates, fixatives, tools and their use, setting, grouting and finishing! Everything is provided for you. Enjoy making a mosaics with old or new friends, listen to music and let the creative juices flow! Students will make a 15" x 15" wall mirror to take home. No art or mosaic experience necessary. YOU can do it! Feel free to bring a broken dish or plate that has sentimental value to add to your design. Class is held in TWO sessions. You need to be available for both dates to complete your project.
