The hubby and I had taken a trip over to the for their Yuletide event. We had lots of fun, and we had enjoyed seeing the fairgrounds all decorated for Christmas. My absolute favorite part of Yuletide is being able to go into the Victorian mansion and seeing all of the decorations inside that compliment the original interior design.

One of my favorite looks that Kyle will do while visiting the is his take on a Witcher. Many of the pieces that he is wearing comes from vendors found at the Faire. He had put this together for our visit the other weekend for the second-to-last weekend of the Faire.

We had such a fun time at the on Sunday. I had done a closet cosplay to create this pirate siren look, and I had made the hat myself. I definitely will be wearing this again for Halloween and future Faire visits since it looks so beautiful and is incredibly comfortable, and it gave me the chance to show off the sword that Kyle gifted to me for our wedding.

The Payday gang had taken over J1-Con and were seen robbing from the vendors on site.

had been such a good sport with us pretending to rob the bakery and Zelda Experience. We made sure to get lots of goodies to make up for our shenanigans.

The Payday gang started their heist inside of the Showboat's arcade before they then turned their eyes towards the convention taking place. (Note: We received permission from the arcade manager to take these photos.)

For day 2 of J1-Con, some members of the Payday 2 gang had been tasked with a heist at the Showboat hotel. Kyle's mask was inspired by the Canis Lupus mask that you can get in-game, while mine was inspired by an actual sugar skull mask I had found while scrolling through images on Google.

We unfortunately did not get many pictures of the hubby in his cosplay prior to the cosplay competition due to unforseen circumstances, but we were grateful that one of our friends snapped these pictures while we were in line for pre-judging. If you were keeping up with my stories, you would know that I made Queen Sonia, King Rauru, and Princess Zelda (not shown) for the first day of J1-Con. They were my third, fourth, and fifth ever cosplays I made myself, so I was very proud of the results. Our cosplays of Sonia and Rauru even got us Best Group and the J1-Con award during the cosplay competition. I look forward to improving these cosplays and showing them off again in the future.

This weekend I was finally able to debut the cosplays I've been working on for over a month and a half. Day 1 of J1-Con I had worn my cosplay of Queen Sonia from Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I am very happy with how she turned out, and I was even more happy with everyone's reactions to her.

Saturday, we had gone to the opening weekend of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, and I debuted the cosplay I'd been working on the past two months. I had gotten so many compliments on it, and so many people were asking for pictures. The highlights of my day have to be the queen fawning over my look and giving it a chef's kiss and then people chanting, "Harpy! Harpy! Harpy!" during the costume contest when it came down to the final 5 out of 15 being chosen and then picking the overall winner. It was thanks to the crowd (more specifically, this guy in the crowd dressed as a pirate that started the chant) that I won first place. I almost cried on the chess field with the crowd chanting for me, not once but twice. Our next visit to the Renaissance Faire is likely not going to be until October, but we can't wait to go back.

The hubby, Pearl, and I went for our last trip to the on Saturday with two of our friends. We had such a great time. Pearl especially loved all the attention and treats she got throughout the day. It's always especially nice running into , aka Roger Kenney, when we visit. Here's to next year's Ren Faire and to Yuletide coming up later this year.

Neori paid a visit to the Spooktober Fest being held by today. It's honestly been too long since I've worn this cosplay, and I was so happy to pull it back out. The only thing I lamented was that I could not find my green body paint to have been able to do her tattoos. However, I did add this beautiful bronze knife to my collection. The hilt is made from a deer antler (ethically sourced). Thank you again to the Drunken Smithy for throwing yet another amazing event. We can't wait to come back for the Yule Bazaar later this year.

For those of you who do not know, Kyle and I are officially married! We got married on the beach in OCMD on 09/06/24. It was as close to perfect as you can get. I got to have my dream beach wedding with my dream man. We have known each other for twelve years and were together for ten and a half years by the time we tied the knot. I am truly blessed, and I am thankful to everyone who made it possible. I am still waiting on our photos and video highlights, but please enjoy this photo my mom took of me when I was getting ready in my suite.
