de opportunities to developing students of art, lighting design, music composition, costume design and set design, offering them the invaluable experience of working cooperatively in a theatre setting. During the upcoming season, 2012, the Company will showcase the work of its founder and Artistic Director, Bradley Shelver, and will feature the work of one new choreographer, thereby beginning to build a repertory foundation as eclectic and innovative as it’s dancers and artistic staff. BSCDT strives to create a diverse repertoire, not limited to a specific style of dance, which incorporates Modern Dance, Ballet, Flamenco, Release Technique, Jazz, and Theatre, resulting in unique and multi-faceted works demonstrating formidable art and vision. The Company’s artistic vision is rooted in Contemporary Ballet, and audiences experience works ranging from classical en pointe to modern and theatrical works. BSCDT students of dance are exposed to a wide variety of dance styles ranging from Classical Ballet to Hip Hop, Tap Dance, Jazz, Limon Technique, Horton Technique, Graham Technique, and Salsa. With dancers and artistic staff hailing from all parts of the globe, and a substantial commitment to community outreach, BSCDT is a truly eclectic company, featuring dancers and staff members of varying races, cultures and socioeconomic statuses, and radiating sensual style, athleticism, beauty, theatre and, simply, exemplary dance.
