We're looking for artists!

Grab your easel and join us for 2 hours of live painting during our 3rd Annual Plein Air on Poyntz, Saturday, October 3rd from 4 to 6pm.

This year’s Plein Air competition sets up shop right in the heart of downtown, at the Riley County Courthouse Plaza (100 Courthouse Plaza). You’ll have two hours to capture the scene as it unfolds live in front of you. All styles and mediums are welcome, from watercolor to oil to charcoal, as long as the work is created live during the event.

This year’s theme: Americana in Action. Think stars and stripes, hometown pride, and the energy of a small-town festival unfolding right before your eyes. Bring your gear and come ready to capture the moment as it happens!

We are excited to share that there will be a Youth Division this year for middle school participants 6th – 8th grades. Canvas’s will be provided for the youth participants, but each contestant will need to bring their own paint supplies.

Also featured will be a Children’s Plein Air mural for all kids ages 10 and below.

Entry Fee: $20 for Open Category (Ages 15 & up) $10 for Youth (6th – 8th Grade)
