Looking for a new date night activity? 🌹 🥂 How about trying out ballroom dancing? Research in psychology and neuroscience 🧠 suggests synchronized movement increases feelings of trust, bonding, and empathy. Find a new dimension to your partnership while learning a fun new skill! In this video from group class our students are learning a move called “the cuddle.”

Beginner class schedule:
-Mondays at 7:30 💃

Students who are interested in being part of Manhattan's production of the Nutcracker - it's not too late! Yes, we've already cast Waltz of the Flowers, but we will also be dancing in the Act I party scene. If you are interested and available please come to audition at the Manhattan Arts Center this Sunday at 7 pm!

Don't forget! Nutcracker auditions begin Sunday at 7pm! The Nutcracker is a classical ballet reimagined to feature Manhattan's various dance programs. Using the original music by Tchaikovsky each dance studio will be featured using original choreography. Dancers of all ages will be showcased in this classic Christmas story!

Auditions are open to performers ages 9 through adult, and all levels of experience are welcome. Whether you are stepping onto the stage for the first time or are a seasoned performer, there is a place for you in this production.

As part of this large community collaboration, many of the featured dances will be performed by our partner organizations, and a small number of principal roles — including Sugar Plum Fairy, and Cavalier — have been cast in advance to support the technical and partnering requirements of the production.
