Several community groups involved in Furniture Amnesty day. Details below.
Furniture Amnesty Day is this Friday, July 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its new location in the A2 Parking lot on the K-State campus, located on the southeast corner of campus near the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art!
The deadline to sign up for furniture pickup is Wednesday, July 22, at 5 p.m. Sign up and select pickup options here: manhattanks.gov/donation. Residents may donate up to five furniture items at a time, including sets. Donations can also be dropped off at the A2 Parking Lot starting at 8 a.m. Friday, July 24.
If you need furniture, signups will begin in person at 8 a.m. Friday, July 24, in the A2 Parking Lot. Participants may choose a time slot to pick out furniture. Furniture selection assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Any furniture remaining after 4 p.m. will be open to the general public.
We are monitoring the forecast and will post an update if the event needs to be postponed. If possible, please try to keep donated furniture out of the rain before pickup or drop-off. For more information about Furniture Amnesty Day, visit manhattanks.gov/furniture
