For the Chicken Tenders
500g (1 lb) chicken tenders
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
Oil for frying
For the Honey BBQ Glaze
½ cup BBQ sauce
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
For the Creamy Garlic Dip
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sour cream
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the coating: Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Bread the chicken: Dip each tender into the flour mixture, then eggs, then breadcrumbs.
Fry: Heat oil to 175°C (350°F). Fry chicken tenders for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the glaze: In a saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, honey, brown sugar, butter, and chili flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Coat the tenders: Toss the fried tenders in the warm honey BBQ glaze until evenly coated.
Prepare the dip: Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Serve: Arrange the glazed tenders on a platter and serve with the creamy garlic dip.
