Henna Tattoo Aftercare
Leave the henna paste for as long as possible. 2-4 hours is recommended. The paste will typically dry in 15-30 minutes.
Don’t panic when the paste comes off. The stain starts bright orange, but will deepen to a reddish brown color as it oxidizes over the next 24-48 hours.
Avoid exposing the design to water for the next 24 hours. Use a vegetable-based oil or balm to protect the stain.
Avoid friction and alpha-hydroxy acids as these encourage exfoliation.
Keep your henna design moisturized.
Jagua Tattoo Aftercare
Much like taking care of a henna design, except with the following differences:
Allow the gel to dry and leave it on the skin for as long as possible. Peel it off the skin once it’s dry.
Don’t panic when the gel comes off and there’s very little stain. The stain will deepen to a bluish-black color over the next 24 hours.
