🚨🧶 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE SWAMP 🧶🚨

WE HAVE THREE MORE DOUBLE KNITTERS!!!

Sarah, Ms. Patsy & Dana have officially entered the wonderful, slightly questionable world of DOUBLE KNITTING. 🤪👏

They came in as innocent knitters.

They left muttering…

“Knit and purl are a couple…”
“Two strings forward…”
“Two strings back…”

Tonight they will dream in two colors.
Tomorrow they may question everything they thought they knew about knitting. 😂

BUT THEY ARE ROCKING IT!!! 🙌🧶

And now…

We must discuss THE INCIDENT.

Please lower your voices.

This is a delicate time.

🕯️ I. KAT. DROPPED. A. STITCH. 🕯️

Yes.

ME.

There was no lifeline.
There was no safety net.
There was no tiny knitting rescue team waiting in the wings.

Just me… staring at that poor little stitch SIX ROWS DOWN.

😳

I considered screaming.

I considered putting the whole project in time-out.

I considered simply closing the shop and moving back to Germany. 🇩🇪😂

But alas…

I am now KNITTING. SIX. ROWS. BACK.

One. Painful. Stitch. At. A. Time.

And THAT, my little yarn goblins, is your lesson for today:

You can knit for 5 years.
You can knit for 50 years.
You can teach knitting.
You can OWN THE YARN SHOP.

✨ YOU WILL STILL MAKE MISTAKES. ✨

You fix them.
You tink.
You knit back.
You sigh dramatically.
You question your life choices.
And then you keep going. 🧶😂

But whatever you do…

🚨🚨🚨 DO NOT PULL THOSE NEEDLES OUT AND UNRAVEL DOUBLE KNITTING!!! 🚨🚨🚨

That is not frogging.

That is inviting CHAOS into your home. 😂

This Yaya had a beautiful week with family visiting from Germany 🇩🇪❤️… but apparently I DO have to come back to work. 😂 Besides, I can’t have Heidi running the whole swamp by herself. She’ll start charging me overtime. 😉🤣

🖤🤍 THURSDAY 6–8 PM — Double Knitting with Kat.
Y’all begged. Y’all pleaded. Y’all twisted my arm. NOW COME LEARN IT. 😂

Y’all, check this out! 🧶💚

We had a totally impromptu spinning day at my house yesterday, and THIS is the kind of stuff that just tickles my heart.

We got ourselves a brand-new wheel spinner (whoo hooo Cooper), a brand-new drop spindle spinner — good job, John! 😂👏 — AND a brand-new knitter ... go Ravyn go! (one of us! one of us)!

One minute you’re just hanging out at the Swamp… next thing you know, somebody has a spindle in their hand, somebody is sitting at a wheel, and somebody else is holding knitting needles wondering how this happened. 🤣

This. This right here is what the Swamp is all about. 💚
Learning, laughing, sharing what we know, and dragging—I mean welcoming—new people into the fiber rabbit hole. 🐑🧶😂
