Manchester Pipe Band The Manchester Pipe Band is a competition and performance focused bagpipe band based in Connecticut.

The band has an active year-round schedule of events consisting of musical competition, public and private performance, and instruction in traditional Scottish music. The band was founded in 1914 in Manchester, Connecticut, by Scottish and Irish families, many of whom emigrated to work in the community's textile industry. The band has operated continuously since its founding, making it one of the

We lost a great one last week. John was a stalwart supporter of piping, drumming, and drum majors in the Northeast, a huge supporter of our band, and of course father of our Pipe Major Dan Pisowloski. Our deepest condolences go out to Cindy, Dan, Peter, and the many who had the pleasure of knowing John.
