Farm Camp

Farm Camp Connie's Farm Camp is the best place to spend your summer! Learn about animals, plants, and farms. Participate in farm activities. Groom horses, dogs, and cats.

Learn how to care for and train these animals. Learn about chickens. Learn basic veterinary care. Learn about gardening. Stalk wildlife. Find wild animals tracks and homes. Study deer, insects, cranes, geese, raccoons, bluebirds, and more. Hike in wild lands. (Our place adjoins a nature preserve.) Learn about ecology and nature's web. Have picnics. Plant, gather, and eat garden foods.Play sports:

capture the flag, soccer, tag, wiffleball. Make up silly dramatic skits and perform them. Draw pictures. Keep a journal of observations, art, and creative writing. This will be the 34th year of Farm Camp. It includes all ages in mixed-age groups. It is for children who love animals, nature, and want to learn more about both. It is for children who like to be creative with art, drama, and writing. The class is small, the curriculum is flexible and responsive to the particular group's interest. Children often come to more than one session, and many come back year after year. This year, as usual, there will be two experienced teachers, Connie Weber and David Weber. 2-4 experienced counselors help us with teaching, sports, and creative work.
