Thru Sunday, please (carefully) use the EXIT drive for both entering and exiting the Rec Center. Due to the Iowa Firefighter's Convention, there is a ladder truck, with a raised American flag, parked in the Entrance drive. Thanks for helping keep things a little less chaotic for the firefighters.

Important notice!!

The resurfacing of the Pickleball court/area has begun. No one is allowed in the area until further notice, roughly 2 weeks. We will keep everyone posted as we get information on finish date.

Reserved PB team slots have been pushed back, now beginning around Sept 22 but adjustments will be made as necessary.

Thanks for understanding as we make this great improvement to the Delaware County Rec Center!

Too hot to walk outside tonight? Head on over to the Delaware County Rec Center and enjoy a workout in our air conditioned facility! We are staffed tonight (Thursday) from 6-8. We offer $5/guest daily fees and well as affordable memberships. Come check us out!

Just a little information to pass on -
We have made a change on reserving time slots for the courts. We will no longer reserve dates starting in Sept for the season that is over a year out. Instead we will open up the time slots effective May 1st prior to the upcoming season, basically ending one season prior to booking the next one. The slots that were booked last Sept for this season (2026-2027) are still set and anyone else still wanting times are welcome to reach out to (563)920-9159. However we will not be accepting any reserved slot requests for the 2027-2028 season until May 1st, 2027.

Also, we are excited to share that the pickleball court will be resurfaced very soon. We are waiting to hear the exact day he will start and will share that as soon as we know. This will also mean the entire area (pickleball court, batting cage and pitching) will be off limits for roughly 2 weeks. They will be grinding off the painted area, then resurfacing the court and surrounding area, then finally repainting the court. No one will be able to walk on it once the process starts but it will be worth the wait when it's done! Not only will it look much better but it will be much safer as well. Thanks for your patience as we make this great improvement.

Lastly, our regular hours will go back into effect on Saturday, October 3, 2026. We will look to another great season but until then our open/staffed hours remain Tues 9-11 am and Thurs 6-8 pm. If you would like a tour or want to take out a membership but these hours don't work, feel free to call (563)920-9159 and we will make other arrangements.

Just a reminder, our open hours, with a volunteer staffed, will remain Tues 9-11 am and Thurs 6-8 pm until October. Please remind your kids we will not be open after school.

The Delaware County Fair kicks off this coming week! Just a reminder, starting Tuesday and ending next Sunday, anyone coming to the Rec Center must follow the rules of the fair. This includes paying the gate fee and walking in (you will not be able to drive in) if you want to use the Rec Center, once they start charging for the day.

If you are wanting to get your work out in, there are still several options. Adults, with an active membership, can gain access to the Rec Center starting at 4 am - come early and get your work out in before they start charging at the gate! Another option, Tues-Fri come between 11-2, pay $20 at the gate and get a token. Get your work out in and even consider grabbing some fair food before you leave. If you are back out of the gate before 2 pm and turn your token back in, you will get your $20 back. Or the 3rd option - support our local fair. Pay the $15 gate fee, get your workout in and then go enjoy all our fair offers if you'd like. There are a lot of things to see, do and eat!

Please be respectful to the gate volunteers - they are not the ones who make the rules, this was an agreement made when the facility was built. While it may be an inconvenience to some, it's only 6 days out of an entire year.

The Rec Center will not be staffed/no open hours this coming week and no memberships will be processed. We will not have any reserved time slots this week. If you do happen to head to the Rec Center, please make an effort to shut the lights off in the gym, track, pickleball court and also individual stall bathroom when leaving. Thanks for your help.

School is out for the Summer! YAY! Enjoy all that comes with Summer break!

Just a few reminders, our open hours, with a volunteer staffed, are Tues 9-11 am and Thurs 6-8 pm.

Anyone under 18 must have a supervising adult with them if they are coming to the Rec Center when we are not staffed.

Also, for anyone bringing guests with them, please have them sign the binder on the desk and put the $5 daily fee per guest thru the office door mail slot upon arrival.

We are excited to show you the newest addition to the cardio room. We now have a much requested Stair Climber! ​ This machine offers 20 levels of resistance and up to 157 steps per minute! No doubt, this will give you a fantastic work out!

We are staffed tonight (Thurs) from 6-8 if you are wanting to come in and take out a membership or to pay the $5 daily fee to get a quick workout in. Adult members do have access from 4 am-9:30 pm daily, one of the great perks of having an active membership! ( Well, and being an adult. 😀)

Parents- if you are taking anyone under 18 into the cardio or weight rooms, they must be directly supervised when using the equipment. The rooms are not playgrounds and safety must come first or they will be asked to leave the area. ​ Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe as well as not interrupting others who are working out.

Enjoy the new Stair Climber! We can't wait to hear what you think of it!

While the temps outside may be telling us differently, it's time to head into Summer hours. Our Summer hours start tomorrow, Sat May 2, 2026. Staffed hours are now Tues 9-11 am & Thurs 6-8 pm. Adults, with an active membership, will continue to have access from 4 am-9:30 pm.

Reminder, you must be 18 or older to be at the Rec Center when we are not staffed, unless you have a supervising adult with you.

If you are bringing any guests with you, please make sure they sign the binder on the desk and put the $5 daily fee/guest thru the office door slot. Any guests you bring are your responsibility, making sure rules continue to be followed even though staff may not be there.

If you are wanting a tour or to take out a membership, we will be happy to make arrangements to meet with you if our open hours don't work.

Thanks for another very busy Winter season. It is great to see so many users come thru the doors each day! While more people head outside now, this may be the perfect time to come inside and start your routine when its a little less crowded or to take advantage of the walking track instead of the uneven sidewalks outside. Plus when the temperatures finally do warm up outside, our air conditioned facility always feels great!
