🎨🐟 NEW! SKA Artists Alley at the Manchester Salmon Bake – Father’s Day Weekend! 🐟🎨

The South Kitsap Artists Association is excited to announce that we'll be hosting our very first SKA Artists Alley at the beloved Manchester Father's Day Salmon Bake on Sunday, June 21 at Storm Water Park.

HOURS (Special note*)
Artists Alley: 10am - 5pm
Salmon Bake: 11:30am - 3:30pm
(*so we will have our Artist Alley open before and after the salmon bake)

This popular annual community event draws visitors from across Kitsap County, making it a great opportunity for artists, makers, and creative vendors to showcase their work to a large public audience. Best of all, spaces are available to both SKA members and non-members.

We'll have a dedicated Artists Alley set up on the grass in the park, just kitty-corner from the Manchester Library, where all the salmon bake festivities take place. Spend the day sharing your art, meeting new customers, and enjoying one of the community's most cherished traditions.

Artists can stroll over and enjoy the famous Friends of the Manchester Library Annual Father's Day Salmon Bake Fundraiser, featuring:

• Wild-caught sockeye salmon grilled over fresh alder wood by the Bow family (nearly 50 years of tradition!)
• Baked beans
• Coleslaw
• Garlic bread
• Cookie
• Soda

Salmon Bake Prices:
• Adults: $25
• Children 7–12: $18
• Children under 7: $10

Info about the upcoming Salmon Bake (in case you were wondering about the food)...

SKA members will be setting up an Artists Alley* on Sunday, June 21 (Father's Day) in Manchester at their annual salmon bake. This will be our first year at this popular public event. And spaces will also be available to non-SKA members

We'll have a designated space on the grass at the park. Kitty-corner from the park is the public library. That's where all the salmon bake action is taking place.

For art vendors who want to sneak over and get a delicious lunch during the event, here's that info (including prices):

We had so much fun at the the Mermaid art model/sketch event on Sunday! Aura The Mermaid (Aura Stiers) inspired our members with her colorful mermaid tail and a variety of inspired poses. A big thanks to Samantha and staff at Gathered by Josephine's. What a beautiful space there. If you are in downtown Port Orchard, you must check it out. :)

At our meeting on Sunday at Sidney Museum and Arts Association, we had a fun and informative art class led by SKA member Elissa Whittleton. A big thanks to Elissa for sharing her scratch art technique. :)
