It’s Banned Books Week and this year’s theme is “Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read” 📚🔥

Swipe through to see the banned and challenged books our staff love and recommend. Each one has been pulled from a shelf somewhere, and each one is still worth reading ➡️

Last year, the American Library Association tracked challenges to more than 4,200 titles. The freedom to read means you get to choose what’s right for you and your family, and so does everyone else.

Come join us THIS SATURDAY on Park Road in West Hartford for the first Fall for Park Road Community Festival 🎃🍁

There’ll be trolley rides, live entertainment, family friendly activities, and more! Swing by River Bend for a kids scavenger hunt, craft, and an appearance from Melanie pappadis Faranello with Poetry on the Streets (POTS) and try your hand at some poetry! 🎉
