What a fantastic class at LaBelle Winery in Amherst. I didn’t get a lot of pics because we needed to stay within our 40 minute window but I’ll grab some on Tuesday when I go back to scrape the backs and bag them up! The students were absolutely AMAZING today! Each one made a unique and gorgeous piece!

It’s important for an instructor to take all learning styles into consideration when teaching. When I teach, it’s auditory, kinesthetic, and hand over hand. It may sound like a lot, but resin and its techniques are very specific and I want to make sure each student leaves with a project they love and feel proud of. Holding the gun and the student’s hands are an example of hand over hand. When you blow out the waves, the gun has to be at a specific angle and can’t be too close to the piece or you’ll burn the resin. Additionally you need to learn when and how to move the gun around to get the most beautiful waves. I’m here for all of it so if you think you can’t make a gorgeous ocean piece, think again, because I guarantee you can!
