I nicknamed this painting "Portrait of the Artist as a Reflected Image" because it dives deep in the message behind my idea. I would have described more about this painting. I will let it talk for itself. What does it say to you!?

"Chronologies of Mind and Hour glass: Between Pyramids and Luba Times"

48x60 in
Oil on canvas
Completed in 2024

The phrase "Chronologies of Mind and Hourglass;
Between Pyramids and Luba Times" evokes a rich
interplay of ideas about time, memory, and cultural
frameworks for understanding existence. This exploration bridges archaeology, anthropology, and philosophy, inviting reflection on how societies weaponize or sanctify time and how the mind, caught between sand grains and stars, seeks meaning in its passage.

"The Primate's Contemplation upon the
Amanita Throne'

Beneath the gaze of Dogon stars and silent saucers,
the skull whispers of ephemeral flesh, while roots and
petals roar eternity."

Meet the philosopher-ape perched atop a crimson mushroom throne, cradling mortality in his palm, around him, flowers claw through darkness in defiance, while above, ancient stars and UFOs hum the universe's oldest riddles, Is consciousness a gift-or a cosmic accident? Are we stardust dreaming of itself, or just brief sparks in nature's infinite?

What do you see in this painting!?

"Contemplation Across Eons: The Ape's Caze and
Humanity's Unspoken Reckoning"
36x48 in
Oil on canvas
Completed in 2024

This piece invites you into a timeless dialogue where the primal meets the profound. The ape's piercing gaze locks with mine as shadows of humanity's past, present, and future ripple beneath the surface. It questions if we the observers or the observed?
It dives into a reflection on evolution, legacy, and the silent questions we carry. What does the ape see in us?

"Metamorphosis of -the Unshackled Mind:
Alchemy, Hieroglyphs, and the Universal Codex"
48x48 in
Oil on canvas
Completed in 2024

In this piece, a man kneels, sculpting his own mind-liberated from chains as ancient scrolls, Walter Russell's elements, and Egypt's sacred symbols whisper secrets of eternity. Where does your mind wander when it's free?

"Metamorphosis" reflects the trans formative act
of sculpting the brain.

"Unshackled Mind" nods to the uncuffed hand and
liberation from constraints.

"Alchemy" bridges Walter Russel's esoteric
periodic table and the alchemical process of
self-transformation.

"Hieroglyphs" and "Universal Codex" evoke the
Egyptian symbols, Flower of Life, and timeless
knowledge on the walls.

"Infnite Bloom" subtly references the Flower of
Life while symbolizing eternal enlightenment

This piece combines all elements of past knowledge and current knowledge we have up to date trying to unlock many things that we don't understand or grasp in order to have awareness to prepare for a better future.

"The Keybearer's Dilemma: Anatomy of Flight
and Confinement in a Bean Bag Reverie, Unlocking
the Cage of Mind and Heart"

Oil on canvas
36x48 in
Completed in 2024

In this surreal world of contrasts, a man sinks into
the comfort of a bean bag chair, arm outstretched
toward a bird carrying keys to its own cage, but this
is no ordinary cage. Its twisted bars hold fragments
of a human heart and brain, suspended between
captivity and liberation, what does it mean to yearn
for freedom while clinging to the very things that
bind us?

Meaning behind the symbolism :

The bird embodies fleeting freedom, its keys a
paradox tools of escape or shackles of control?

The cage cradles visceral truths: the heart
(emotion) and brain (logic), trapped yet preserved

The bean bag mirrors modern complacency
comfortable stagnation versus the courage to reach.

"We have to ourselves. Do we hold the keys to our own cages, or are we forever chasing wings or keys to them?"

"Threshold of Silentium"
Oil on canvas

"Threshold of Silentium"
Evokes the quiet tension between existence and
mortality, merging with the liminal space the man occupies. It also hints at broken permanence, the severed tree, ephemeral blooms of flowers, and enduring skull on the books fragments of time. I feel that putting words together to explain this can do injustice to it but your own interpretation can make it make sense in your own circumstances.

๐Ÿ’ฅ "The Cerebral Fuse: A Mind Held in Fragile Hands" ๐Ÿง โœจ
Where the mindโ€™s brilliance meets its delicate edge. This piece cradles the brain like a grenadeโ€”its neural pathways coiled like wires, its power volatile, its survival dependent on the hands that hold it. What ignites us could also unravel us. This is a reminder that consciousness is both weapon and wonder, and every thought carries the weight of detonation. How do you hold your own? ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿ’ฃ

"The sun shines on those who are standing before shines on those who are sitting. This was the biggest lesson I've learned in 2024.

Thank you for awarding me the" 2024 Artist of the Year." The theme/ new year resolution that I told myself was."Trust the process." I think I have seen the result of that theme. Who knew that this would happen to me. We all have stories and voices to share with others, especially in our communities. My art is part of a tool that I can use to evoke emotions and bring forward conversations that are hard to talk about. I am so honored to be recognized in my community and the whole state as a change maker and important to my people. I hope that this can encourage everyone who have a voice in whatever discipline they have and let them know that people are watching even though you might feel lonely when you feel you are watched or recognized especially artists. I hope that more artists are recognized and supported in all aspects and get valued by people around them.

Today marks 8 years of me and my family living America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ.
It has been quite a ride learned a lot, and I did my best to integrate into the culture and my community where I live.
Shout to for this ๐Ÿ“ธ
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey. There's still a long way to go. I appreciate it. I never imagined accomplishing all this. Good things lie ahead ๐Ÿคž
