I’ll be there all weekend representing Tae Kwon Donkey and meeting everyone who stops by. Whether you’ve been following the Martial Mythos already or you’re discovering this ridiculous universe for the first time… come say hello and see what we are all about.

Issue 2 Standard Editions are arriving tomorrow…Collectors editions are going into print today…and the reviews of the digital editions have already been fantastic.

I’ve packed a lot into the first two issues of Tae Kwon Donkey.

A giant cast. A world with a dense history. Multiple storylines moving at once.

I’ve always worried there might come a point where it all becomes...too much.

So when Jason from Mid-Life Gamer Geek wrote:

“Despite there being an awful lot going on, from a storytelling perspective it’s never unclear.”
..that honestly felt like one of the best compliments I could have received.

The other challenge with building a big universe in only 24 pages is resisting the urge to stop and explain everything. We’d rather keep the story moving. We want it to feel fun, exciting, and engaging....and we aim to trust readers to discover the world naturally.

So hearing this:

“It definitely leaves you hungry for more Tae Kwon Donkey action.”
..tells me we accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

I’m so grateful that we tripled our Kickstarter funding goal.

If you want to get issue 1 and 2 for yourself, there is less than 24 hours left.

A lot of people kept asking how to get issue 1. Issue 1 is in the add on menu. So you select issue 1 after selecting your issue 2 reward.

I’m so excited that people will be reading their digital copies tomorrow, and that we will be getting issue 2 in print.

I’m proud of the story we are telling and the work we created, And I’m excited for everyone to experience the storm with us!

Ayeee!!! We just crossed another milestone and for that we unlocked a second bonus character!

The campaign is set to end Friday at 8:03 AM EDT on the dot.

So if you want still want to grab issue 2 and issue 1 as an add on, we’d love to have you dive in to the TKDU.

If we happen to hit the $4000 raised mark we will unlock a 3rd bonus character!

I’m just so excited to share the work with everyone who backed it and ordered the copy…and I’m beyond grearful that your support means we get to keep making comics and building this universe!

Also I know a number of folks supported by commenting, sharing, spreading the word…Even just telling us encouraging words when we slid into your DMs. That means a lot to me. Beyond raising the funds. I hoped this project would be something to build community and fans around, and talking with some of you has brought me great joy and filled me with the passion to keep pushing!
