Hi Dance Families! We’re so excited to invite you to North Carroll Dance Studio & Dynamite Dance Company’s Open House this Wednesday, August 19 from 5:00–7:00 PM! 🎉

This is a great chance to come see the studio, meet some of our teachers and staff, get to know our programs, and get ready for an exciting new dance season! Whether you’re a current dance family or thinking about joining us, we’d love for you to stop by! 🩰💕

Hello DDC & NC Dance Families…..it is with heavy hearts that we post this; however, important that we continue to share messages of hope for a dear family.  One of our DDC Alumni, Julianna Nefflen, sadly lost her sister just last week.  Tori, as she was known to most of us, was also an NC Dancer for many years.  She courageously battled for six-years with Myelofibrosis, MDS, and later leukemia- a set of 3 aggressive blood cancers.  Tori graduated from the University of Maryland, started a bone marrow registry drive with the National Marrow Donor Registry, worked for a Baltimore, Maryland based non-profit organization (So What Else), served on the patient advisory council at Johns Hopkins, and continued to advocate & use her voice to fight for equity & inclusion.  She was always a beacon of hope, inspiring everyone who knew her.

Anyone who knew Julianna (“Jeff”), her mom Katie, & sister Tori, remembers their sense of humor, keen intelligence, helpful nature, & pure, gentle kindness.  I ask that you keep the Nefflen family close to your hearts today, and if you find it appropriate, check out Tori’s Go Fund Me page.  The family is accepting donations, so they can continue to help with final medical expenses and donate to the causes that Tori advocated so hard.

We loved getting a sneak peek of all the magic during dress rehearsal, and now we are SO excited for recital week to officially begin next week! From tiny dancers to our seniors, everyone has been working so hard and we can’t wait to see them shine on stage. 🎭⚡️

This week we’re tumbling into the spotlight with our Thursday Advanced Acro Class 🤸‍♀️💜

These athletes continue to impress us with their strength, flexibility, control, and determination every single week. From challenging tricks and balances to seamless acro combinations, they are constantly pushing themselves to grow and improve while supporting one another along the way. ✨

With Ms. Brooke’s encouragement and expertise, this class is building not only strong acro technique, but also confidence, resilience, and teamwork in a fun and motivating environment. Watching these dancers take on new skills and conquer goals is what makes this class so exciting! 💖

Need help navigating the 2026 Dynamite Dance Company audition process? Mackenzie Seifert — DDC Alum & Faculty Member — will be available during the times listed above to assist dancers and families with Google Forms, audition questions, class selection guidance, and general audition information. 💙⚡️

Whether your dancer is brand new to auditions or returning for another season, this is a great opportunity to receive extra support before audition week begins!
