On this special July 4th holiday weekend, we are proud to highlight a few members of our orchestra who proudly serve, or have served, in “The Commandant’s Own” United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. Pictured in the center (in uniform) is our Tuba player Sergeant Thomas Keane, and to his right: Sergeant Tyler Easterling (trumpet) who served from 2018 to 2022. Other Commandant's Own members in the MSO (not pictured) include two of our trombones Sergeant Nico Lopez and Corporal Mason Hicks. Substitute members include Master Sergeant Austin Williams (percussion) and Sergeant Daniel Campa (horn).

Members of the MSO brass section have an annual outing to see our friends perform in the Evening Parades at Marine Barracks Washington, DC. These public performances happen every Tuesday and Friday throughout the summer. It was a fantastic time and we can't recommend it enough! On Sunday, July 5th at 3PM, celebrate America’s 250th with the 257th Army Band, “The Band of the Nation’s Capital” and the official musical ambassador of the D.C. Army National Guard, live at the Harris Pavilion! Bring a chair and settle in for a free concert filled with pride, tradition, and big, bold sound.

Now that we have closed our 2025-2026 season we would like to again thank our friends and masterful featured artists Thomas Pandolfi, Doreen Ketchens, and Andrew Sords for joining our orchestra during what was truly a memorable season! Thank you to our audience for sharing this year with us, members of our orchestra, Maestro Villani, and to the staff at the Hylton Performing Arts Center for taking care of us in their wonderful venue.
