ZMP stands together with the Asian and Pacific Islander community. We condemn the violence against the AAPI community and encourage our followers to learn more about how to support organizations that are doing important work in these communities.

Asian American Advocacy Fund is a grassroots social welfare organization. Their mission is to “advocate for the civil and human rights of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Native Hawaiians in Georgia.” They have different funds you can donate too, along with ways to volunteer and engage with local lawmakers to make a change in communities.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice is an Asian law caucus that represents and promotes “the legal and civil rights of Asian Pacific Islander communities.” They have firms in Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Donations will, “ensure that low-income, immigrant, and underserved Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have access to free direct legal services and the most effective civil rights advocacy possible.” Donors can also choose if they have a preference on where they’d like their monetary gift to be designated to within the organization.

Korean American Coalition Metro Atlanta is a non-profit organization focusing on advocacy, education, and service to help the Korean American community in community, civic, and legislative matters – specifically in Metro Atlanta.

Asian Pacific Fund for Covid-19 is a specific recovery fund for those affected by the pandemic. The Asian Pacific Fund focuses on philanthropy, community, leadership, and awareness in the Bay Area.

Welcome to Chinatown is a grassroots initiative meant to support businesses in New York City. They have resources including an interactive map for small businesses in Manhattan’s Chinatown, and donations go to either grants for areas businesses or providing fresh produce and food for the community.

Stop AAPI Hate is a non-profit organization where people can report hate incidents against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Donations help the organization continue to “track and respond to the surge in racism and xenophobia.” Asian Americans reported almost 3,800 hate incidents over the past year, according to The Guardian’s report from Stop AAPI Hate.

Asian Mental Health Collective is a non-profit working to, “normalize and de-stigmatize mental health within the Asian community,” with various ongoing projects. Donations support the organization’s vision to make mental health more easily available and accessible for Asian communities worldwide.
