Ol' Charlie's been havn a fine time on his trip to Portland. Holiday good tymes were had by all when we took the stage to Idehoe for the Day of Thanks. We bunked up at a fine stop called The Coast Hilltop Hotel in Pulman where Ol' Charlie lerned what the modern world is a commn' to.

As we prepare for the Christmas fixens and fandango tomorrow, Ol Charlie is feeling a bit down in the britches though - as this is the 1st tyme ever that Ol' Charlie's been apart from his beloved donkeys Joan and Jenny - and it's the 1st tyme in the past 135 years that he's been away from his home and friends in Mammoth City. But low and behold, it's also the 1st time in a long tyme that Ol' Charlie's been given a Christmas present. I was a bit alarmed when it was announced that an Amazon woman was at the door..... but she was far nicer than I'd heard about them Amazons, and she left Ol' Charlie a Christmas present that had come by stage all the way from St. Louis from his loved one Cathy M Fuller. All that love will bring Ol' Charlie out of the dumps and I'm sure we'll have a grand ol' tyme on Christmas tomorrow. My wish for ya all is that you too feel the love and have a blessed holiday season.

Met sum long lost relations on my Thanksgiving trip to Idehoe. Ol' Charlie is still awaiten to see the fur fly when we watch the fight between those Sleds Dogs and that Mountain Lion. Back in Mono City in the 1870's, the Paiute boys would get them a Badger and bring it into town for a fight with the local street muts - but I'd never thought they'd bring a Lion into the fruckus.

Ol' Charlie nearly shat his britches when his partner "Sioux City Stu Welch" sent him this photo of one of the old giants that blew over and nearly busted Ol' Charlie's beloved domicile up in Mammoth City. Sioux City Stu was up there checking on my donkeys Joan and Jenny for me while I'm on vacation in the northlands. He prospected the root ball for gold dust, and said he dint find any. Ol' Charlie's a wondering though........

Ol' Charlie is spending this winter in the big city of Portland. It's quite a change from my usual winter - buried in snow at my home in Mammoth City. Tomorrow, I'm going shopping for some new duds to wear on Turkey Day, as we're going on a road trip to Moscow Idaho (where ever that might be). I need me a big city outfit in order to make a good impression. If you see my donkeys, Joan and Jenny, tell 'em that Ol' Charlie is going to a Fandango !!
