❤️ Sensory FIT Update ❤️

First, thank you.

Thank you for the texts, calls, messages, donations, shares, prayers, and support. We see it all, and it means more than you know.

At this time, we still don’t have many answers. We are actively working with our landlord, property management team, remediation company, and other professionals to determine the best path forward. Everyone involved has been supportive and working hard behind the scenes, but unfortunately this is a complex situation that requires time, patience, and many important decisions.

While we continue navigating this, our community has stepped up in incredible ways.

📸 Kerrie Kentzel Photography is hosting a Pay What You Can Photo Session on July 4th, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Sensory FIT. I’ll share the details in my stories. Last I heard, there were still a few spots available—including pet sessions!

⛳ Our Sensory FIT Foundation & Billy’s Legacy Foundation Golf Outing is still happening on July 24th at Coatesville Country Club. We are still looking for golfers, sponsors, and dinner guests. It’s always a fun, family-friendly event and an important fundraiser for the families we serve.

Right now, the biggest thing you can do is continue to:

❤️ Keep us in your thoughts as we work through the next steps

This has been overwhelming emotionally, financially, and operationally, but we’re taking it one day at a time.

💔 I never thought I’d be making this video again.

This morning we experienced another major water event that has once again forced us to close our doors.

As mentioned in the video, we do not yet know the full extent of the damage or how long we will be closed. We are actively working with property management, remediation crews, and insurance while assessing next steps.

If you have a scheduled party, program, or booking, we will be reaching out directly as we learn more.

This doesn’t get talked about enough…

As children grow into teens and adults, opportunities for friendship, connection, and community can become harder to find.

That’s why these moments matter. 💙

This week, our Teen and Adult Programs got a little messy during Slime Week—but behind the slime was so much more: laughter, conversation, confidence, creativity, and friendships being built.

At Sensory FIT, we’re creating a place where everyone feels welcome, included, and connected.

✨ Because belonging doesn’t have an age limit.

WE’RE REOPENING! 🎉

Excuse my look… this is real life. 😅

After the last 4 hours of deep cleaning, sanitizing, and putting everything back together, we’re finally ready to welcome everyone back!

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding while we worked through this unexpected situation. It has been a stressful week for our small business, and we truly appreciate every message, comment, and check-in.

💖 Sensory FIT will reopen tomorrow, Saturday 5/30, for Open Play from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.

We can’t wait to see some smiling faces back in the space!

SPARK research continues to show that autism is not one single story, but many! Each experience is unique and valuable. Because of families like yours, research doesn’t just happen. It grows, evolves, and becomes more inclusive.

We’re excited to welcome Sensory FIT to our Family Fun Day Carnival! Sensory FIT is an inclusive indoor play and community space offering open play, programs, events, and experiences for kids, teens, and adults of all abilities.

At the carnival, they’ll be hosting a sensory play room designed to support movement, exploration, regulation, and connection in a welcoming environment for all. We’re so grateful to have them helping create an inclusive and sensory-friendly experience for our community! 💙

Quick update from me 💖

Today is Thursday and we are still currently closed as we continue working through the water damage situation at Sensory FIT. We are waiting on additional flooring that unfortunately did not arrive in time. The remaining flooring work will either be completed later today or tomorrow morning.

Because of that, we will also be CLOSED Friday. There’s just no realistic way to safely finish everything tonight and reopen tomorrow. Friday will be dedicated to putting the space back together, deep cleaning, sanitizing, and making sure everything is safe and ready for our families.

As a small business, an unexpected closure like this is honestly pretty devastating, but we are doing everything we can to push through it and get back open as quickly as possible.

Thank you all so much for the love, patience, messages, and support during this. We truly appreciate this community more than you know, and we will rally through this together.
