👋 Have You Met... Kristan Gottmann?

Kristan has served as the Town of Malta's Director of Parks, Recreation & Human Services for 4½ years, helping oversee the programs, events, parks, and services that bring our community together. Kristan also serves on many of Malta's Committees! Whether you're looking for a place to gather, a program to participate in, or a way to become more connected to the community, Kristan is a great resource.

One of Kristan's favorite parts of her job is meeting both new and longtime members of our community. Every day brings opportunities to connect with residents, hear their stories, and help create programs and events that bring people together. Building those relationships and helping people make lasting memories is what makes her work so rewarding.

Did you know the folding chessboard was invented by a priest trying to play chess in disguise? In this class, you won't have to disguise your love for the game! If you want to learn to play or want to refine your skills as a beginner, this is the class for you!

When our neighbors need a little help, Malta shows up. ❤️

We recently learned that the Franklin Community Center, Inc. in Saratoga Springs was running low on donations for its School Supply Drive. We put the word out to Town staff, residents and local businesses—and in just a few days, the response was incredible!

Backpacks, lunchboxes, headphones, binders, pencils, pens, sanitizing wipes and so much more came pouring in to help local children start the school year with the supplies they need. 🎒✏️📚

A special thank you to Mosaic Church here in Malta for their very generous donation of several backpacks!

We’re proud to support the Franklin Community Center, Inc. and the important work they do for children and families in need. And this is just the beginning. We’re excited to build on this partnership and find even bigger ways to support the School Supply Drive next year. Stay tuned! 👀

Most of all, we’re proud to be part of a community that sees a need, steps up and gets it done.
