✨Choreographer Announcement✨We’re thrilled to announce our second choreographer for this year’s Bring it Home—Hallie Hunt! 💥 Hallie will be creating a brand-new group work, diving into her process next week with a collaborative spirit, a wide range of musical inspirations, a few playful props, and lots of physical dancing.

🔎 About the Artist-Hallie Hunt (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and movement researcher who has lived and worked on Maui for the past twelve years. She is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Adaptations Dance Theater, where she also serves as resident choreographer and dance artist.
Hallie began her training at Western Ballet, Ballet San Jose, and LINES Ballet School, and went on to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She has danced professionally with Ballet San Jose, The Foundry, The Ali McKeon Dance Project, and CRAFT Dance Series.
Her work has taken her across the U.S. and internationally—including performances and residencies with The Foundry in Wyoming, New Mexico, and California, and with Artship Dance Theater in Belgrade, Serbia, where she also served as a cultural liaison and educator.
On Maui, Hallie was the inaugural choreographer-in-residence for ADT’s RARE program at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and created a site-specific work in residence at the Merwin Conservancy.
She has performed works by renowned choreographers including William Forsythe, Jirí Kylián, Dennis Nahat, Alonzo King, Alex Ketley, Christian Burns, Gregory Dawson, Robert Moses, Florian Lochner, Alice Klock, and Mark Kanemura.
Hallie currently teaches at the Alexander Academy of Performing Arts and continues to share her deep belief in the transformative power of dance with Maui’s youth and dance community.
