Last week, Camp Kaluanui welcomed some very special visitors from !

Through tail wags, gentle interactions, and plenty of smiles, our campers had the opportunity to connect with therapy dogs while learning about communication, compassion, and the unique bond between people and animals.
The dogs quickly became camp favorites, bringing comfort, confidence, and lots of joy to the day.

Mahalo to the Happier Hounds team and their incredible therapy dogs for sharing your time, knowledge, and aloha with our campers. We loved having you at Hui Noʻeau and hope to see you again soon. 🐾💛

We are thrilled to welcome artist Eddie Flotte back to Hui Noʻeau as a Teaching Artist!

In 2023, the Hui honored Eddie with a retrospective exhibition celebrating his profound contributions to Maui's artistic community and his remarkable body of work. Since arriving on Maui in 1985, Eddie has created paintings that serve as love letters to the island, capturing the final days of plantation life, changing landscapes, and the people and places that have shaped his journey.

This special three-day workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from this celebrated artist. Through drawing and watercolor, students will explore observation, composition, color relationships, value, perspective, movement, and expressive brushwork.
