TIDBITS FOR VULTURE FEST THIS WEEKEND!
Vulture Fest will begin both days, (Saturday, October 18th & Sunday, October 19th) at 11:00 a.m. The music begins at 12:00 at the Pavillion and 12:30 at the Rainmaker’s Garden. The vendors will determine their closing time by the crowds and the music ends at 7:00 pm.
If you are making plans to attend, please note that parking will be very limited so please carpool if possible. Contact a few friends or relatives and make it an adventure! There will be handicapped parking across the street from the Boardwalk. If full, there will be a Drop-Off area on Heern Street on the North end of the Boardwalk. Please use the 4 designated parking lots for non-handicapped.
There are no parking signs and barrier tape along the roads for safety reasons. If an emergency vehicle needs to get here we don’t want them impeded. Please do not park where you are not wanted; have respect for our neighbors who reside in Makanda. (We really don't want to tow your car so please don't do it!)
There will be a $5.00 donation for parking and if you don’t donate, we won’t wash your car (just kidding). Your donation will pay for our parking attendants. We also sell Makanda Vulture Fest t-shirts (no, they are not available yet) in our booth in front of Rainmaker’s Art Studio on the Boardwalk to help pay for all the other stuff. Your support for our Festival is appreciated!
We are a dry town, so no alcohol will be available for sale. If you BYOB, please be cool about it! No camping or overnight parking permitted.
We will have ATM’s but the internet is not reliable, so CASH IS KING around here.
Hope this helps and if you need more information, please send an email to [email protected]
Looking forward to a fun weekend! Peace and Good Vibes!
